Measuring the "Womenabling" Business Environment

Over a period of several years, Womenable President and CEO Julie Weeks worked with Booz Allen Hamilton on a US Agency for International Development project to:my watches replica

  • Develop a "genderized" business-enabling environmental assessment, which later became the Gender CLIR diagnostic tool;
  • Test this tool in the field (which we did, in Rwanda and Vietnam); and
  • Prepare reports assessing the "womenabling" environment in these countries (links are below).

Afterward, the project team went back to Rwanda to implement one of the key recommendations uncovered in our environmental assessment: women business owners in the country ached for entrepreneurship education and training that went beyond the basics, and included linkages to one another and to governmental decision-makers.

While the series of four 2-day workshops were fraught with technical and logistical challenges, it was a rewarding experience for all. The women sang songs of praise for the eye-opening experience - which included local mayors addressing them and,  perhaps for the first time, taking them seriously. Then, we trainers were inspired to answer in turn. This video summarizes the next time replica watches experience.
